Two words on a CV, ISTQB certified, survive a keyword screen that discards most other testing training. That is the honest value of CTFL, and also its limit. It is worth the USD $229 to anyone who needs a recognised testing vocabulary and a way past that first filter, and worth very little to a test lead who already has the job, the scars and the evidence to show for them.
