Can I Pause an Exam and Resume Later?
Yes for Premium, no for the Demo. A Premium sitting can be left unfinished and picked up again, reopening on whichever item you had left blank, with every answer already committed still in place. The catch is the clock: it does not carry on from where you paused but restarts at the full duration, so returning gives you more time than the real exam ever would. The Demo has no resume at all — it is a short sample, meant to be sat in one run.
That timer behaviour reads like a drawback and is really advice in disguise. Because the clock refills, pausing cannot help you rehearse pacing — the one thing a timed sitting exists to train — so the sound way to take a full-length rehearsal is unbroken, exactly as you will have to sit the real paper.
What a paused process certification sitting keeps, and what it resets
Step out of a Premium attempt and it waits for you: come back and the answers you had entered are still there, and you resume at the earliest unanswered question, rather than starting the paper over. That is genuinely useful when life interrupts a sitting and finishing then is impossible. What it will not do is give pacing back to you. Each return resets the clock to the sitting’s whole allowance, not the sliver of time you had left, so a full-length rehearsal broken into pieces tells you nothing reliable about whether you can hold your pace across an unbroken paper — which is the honest case for sitting it in one stretch.
Revising during a process certification sitting is open to every tier
It is worth keeping two actions apart, because they are easily confused. Moving back to an earlier question and changing your answer while the sitting is still live is ordinary exam technique, available on the free Demo just as much as on Premium: within one run you can go back and forth and reconsider before you submit, all against the one running clock. Resuming, by contrast, means leaving the sitting and returning to it as a fresh visit — and that, with its reset timer, is Premium only. Revising as you go costs you nothing; resuming across a break is where the full-clock trade-off applies.
Premium sittings pause and resume at the first unanswered item, the Demo does not, and either way the clock is handed back at full length — which is the honest reason to sit a process or project management certification rehearsal in one go.
